FOUR HOMEMADE RECIPES FOR NATURAL CARE OF DRY AND CRACKED SKIN

During the winter season our skin is exposed to low temperatures and wind. Because of the weather conditions even the healthiest skin requires extra protection from the external influences. Summer skincare is just not enough for the winter season.

There are more recipes and advices for the skin to remain perfect and shiny during the cold winter days and we give you 4 of the most important.

1.     SIMPLE MASK FROM HONEY AND YOGURT

Ingredients:

-        1 table spoon of yogurt

-        1 tea spoon of honey (if the skin is very dry you could add one more spoon of honey)

Preparation:

You mix all of the ingredients with a spoon. Previously you should put the honey in a bowl which is put in another bowl fill with hot water. You apply the mask by hand on a pure and dry skin. You leave the mask on for 15 minutes and you take it off with a soft towel dipped in hot water. When you thoroughly remove the mask your skin shall have a natural glow which will last for days.

How does this mask works?

-        The yogurt is excellent for hydration, cleansing and softening of the skin. It calms down irritations and purifies the pores, it even helps in treating acne. Honey is a natural antioxidant with antibacterial properties. It protects the skin both in winter and summer, removes the filth from the pores and takes care of the problematic skin.

 

2.     HYDRATING BODY LOTION FROM COCONUT OIL

Ingredients:

-        few drops of essential oil

-        1 table spoon of olive oil

-        1 table spoon of coconut oil

-        1-2 drops of distilled water

Preparation:

If the coconut oil is not in a solid state, it should be put in a bowl, which is put in another bowl that is submerged with hot water. Then carefully mix all those ingredients until you don’t get a creamy mixture.

How does this lotion works?

-        The olive oil softens the skin and gives it a glow. It prevents premature skin aging and also hydrates it. The coconut oil feeds, protects and hydrates the skin and gives it elasticity.

 

3.     HOMEMADE PEELING FOR DRY SKIN

Ingredients:

-        juice from one lemon

-        5 table spoons of sea salt

-        1 table spoon of olive oil   

With the combination of these ingredients you get a luxury peeling for your body. This mask should be applied with a wet glove on a wet skin. You then rinse it off with some lukewarm water.

 

4.     CREAM FOR SEVERELY DAMAGED, CRACKED SKIN

Ingredients:

-        ½ cup of cocoa butter

-        2 table spoons of bee wax

-        2 tea spoons of distilled water

-        3 table spoons of sesame oil

-        2 table spoons of coconut oil

-        1 table spoon of olive oil

Preparation:

A larger bowl of water is put on low heat. In the same bowl, a smaller bowl is put, in which there is wax that will slowly melt. In the melted wax you add the distilled water and the cocoa butter and mix it all. When you get a smooth mixture, you gradually add sesame, coconut and olive oil. Mix it until you get a homogenous mixture. Put the mixture in a glass bowl, when the mixture cools off it will get density. With this cream, during the winter period you can nurture your: face, hands, feet, elbows and other sensitive and damaged areas of your body.
